Petstacular Tail

Posted by admin on February 28th, 2009

I spent the early afternoon at Petstacular Spectacular. Say that 3 times really fast. I went with my husband and Ozzbourne. We had a lot of fun. We met some dogs that had great wills to survive. I made a few potential business contacts as well. I also gave 10% of my profits donation to the N.S.P.C.A..
Here’s what we learned and decided to pass this information to you.

Many common foods that are great for you are poisonous for your pets:

Avocados
Coffee
Garlic
Raisins
Macadamia nuts
Alcohol
Raw yeast dough
Xylitol (found in gum and candy)
Tomatoes
Chocolate
Onions
Grapes
Salt
Nutmeg
Tea leaves
Raw potatoes
Chicken bones
Apple, cherry or peach pits(contain cyanide)
Human vitamin supplements with iron

I hope you discovered at least one that you didn’t know about.
Please be careful giving your left overs to your pets.
Sorry, no pictures this post. I had my hands full at this event with giving treats and petting.

Bath Tail

Posted by admin on February 21st, 2009

Giving a dog a bath is always fun. Harley took a dip just before Ozzbourne got in. My husband placed him in the tub with water in it. He likes to play with it, so my husband tried to see if he would go for a bath. NOT. He did not like being so wet. Ozzbourne loves his face really scrubbed. He did some moaning while I was doing this. Now, as you can see by the pictures, I was careful about when I used the camera, so that it would not get a bath. Harley did the final smell check. A smell check has to be done. Sometimes it takes soaping Ozzy twice to make him smell good. The final step in bathing a dog is the funnist part. That run through the house, outside, to the yard without the dog stopping & shaking. Hope you had fun recently getting or giving a bath.

Grooming Tail

Posted by admin on February 19th, 2009

These pictures prove a accomplishment for my husband.
He was able to brush Harley today without getting scratched or bitten. The brush as well managed to escape with no new wounds.
Another usual of Harley’s during grooming sessions is to eat the hair out of brush. Then it’s a game to get it away from him before he swallows it.
Hope you are able to groom your animals with ease.
You look so handsome Harley.

Laser Fun Tail

Posted by admin on February 15th, 2009

Most cats have been introduced to the laser light toy. It is a all time favorite in my house. Breeze and Harley never get bored with it. My husband played this afternoon with Breeze and the laser.
Enjoy the pictures. I love them.

Valentine Bullying Tail

My husband managed to catch Harley’s bullying Breeze on camera.
This is another obsession of his.
I will let the pictures tell the rest.
Enjoy.
XOXOXO.
Happy Valentine’s Day!

Award Tail

Barking and growling at other animals is a favorite of Ozzbourne’s when watching T.V..
He listens very closely and tunes into small animals and babies that are on the T.V.

Thank you!

Scaredy Cat Tail

Posted by admin on February 10th, 2009

Harley is a big scaredy cat. I think a little paranoid at times. He was uneasy about a bin with pictures & cd’s in it. His head was bobbing up and down trying to get a better view. He jumped back at one point. I think he was looking at his own reflection. Speaking of reflection…and on a sad note. My mother had to put her service dog down a couple of weeks ago and my brother had to make the decision today of it being time for his kitty. This brought me to thinking about my animals that I have let go in the past 5 years to a wonderful meadow to play. I have added their photos to my blog just under Chance’s(new fish to family) picture. I miss there souls. Take this moment in time to reflect on your missed pets. LOL.

Plant Eating Tail

Posted by admin on February 9th, 2009

Harley just woke up from his late morning nap when I caught him trying to eat the plant. This is a obsession of his.
He’s investigating it at first, then wondering if it would be good, then heard me & proceeded to try and eat it anyway.
Stop the obsession Harley.
