New Moon Farm Tail

Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010

I had the great experience as a child of spending some summers  at the Oregon fairgrounds. I spent most of my time in the various barns. Occasionally I had the opportunity to play with the goats. I was also raised for a brief time on goats milk.  When I heard of New Moon Farm , I had to share them with you.

New Moon farm is a goat rescue organization. It began in 1999 when Ellen the owner and operator adopted a goat named Ziggy, who is a permanent resident. For a more in depth story read ” New Moon Farm in Arlington offers goats a second chance” article by the Arlington Times.

If you are fond of goats, visit The Maaaaa of Pricilla blog. A very entertaining place to visit where you can find a link to Happy Goats Soap, a shop with soap made of goats milk.

Our House: Harley and Ozzbourne are wonderful siblings. They groom each other from time to time. Oz does get a little aggressive by getting his teeth involved. Harley cries like a baby to tell him it hurts. There are times when dogs just don’t listen to a warning…SMACK!

An Interview With Breeze Tail

Posted by admin on February 19th, 2010

Good Evening, this is Patricia and I’m here with Breeze, the mascot of Miss Breezy’s Box.  I have been given permission to interview her here on her high perch.

An Interview With Breeze

An Interview With Breeze

Patricia: Do you know where you came from?

Breeze: I was born to a black cat,  I forgot her name. She was feisty, she almost took the ear off  a pit bull. She belonged to a friend of yours and she gave me and my siblings away to loving homes.

Patricia: Do you remember the day you were adopted?

Breeze: Oh yes, it was a very stressful day. I took the trip to my new home in a vehicle and ran in a panic around and around. Once there, I was introduced to two very large dogs. I hissed and growled at them and then I eventually learned that they adored me as I did them.

Patricia: What do you think of your adoptive siblings?

Breeze: Ozzbourne is great, he’s just there, here, wherever..uh….Really,  I just can’t say much about him.

Harley-I took him under my wings and now I regret that. He body slams me while walking down the hallway. He also persists to annoy me after several hisses and smacks I give him across the face. The darn kid is a glutton for punishment.

Patricia: What are your favorite toys?

Breeze: Medium size balls that have fuzz, so I can tuck them into my tummy and kick them with my claws out. OH!! and plastic balls with bells inside them. They produce great sound effects.

Patricia: What are your duties as Mascot, supervisor and quality control of Miss Breezy’s Box?

Breeze: As Mascot-I have to endure photo shoots, supervisor-I watch the production process and as quality control-I grab the product and play with it fast and quick before it gets snatched away. Sometimes , the product has to be re-crafted, but that’s not my problem.

Patricia: What do you think of your adoptive human parents?

Breeze: You’re great,  I know you miss her dearly, but now that Tabatha has passed, I can approach you. It is very entertaining to watch you around the house doing this and that.

The big guy-We have..uh…I think you call it a twisted relationship. I like to get ruff in our play by hissing and swatting with my claws out. He gives it right back with a tap on my side, head or a tug on my tail. I know you think I’m really mad at times, maybe sometimes I am, but I would just run away if that were the case. Besides I have to win by getting the last strike in, when I draw the blood. Game over!

Patricia: Well, thank you Breeze, I don’t have anymore questions.

I have enjoyed interviewing you. I appreciate you more everyday.

Breeze: Thank you.

Should I be Worried Tail?

Posted by admin on February 6th, 2010

Harley & I'm worriedI was resting the other day and sat up to Harley eying me in bed. I wasn’t moving and I didn’t see any bugs. Should I be worried about him or maybe my safety?

Update: I received a beautiful Thank You card from the Poppy Foundation after I made a donation that I commented about on my last post.  I wanted to share Jennifer Nelson, the Artist behind the photography of the card.  She takes wonderful images of Nevada’s wildlife. You can view her gallery on her Changing Woman Photography website.

I have added a button on the far right column for “My Pet Savings“.  I’m going to be trying some of the deals out soon. Check them out.

Enjoy this great 3 minute video of  “Animals are us”.

Announcement: Jazper Kitty needs a permanent home. Please forward the link to as many as you can to help our friends out.

Final note: Thank you all for stopping by! I’m sorry to put so much in one post. I have been back to work for almost two months now. I hope the work keeps coming to Las Vegas!
