Animal Shelter Facts Tail

Posted by admin on June 15th, 2010

I’ve been very busy trying to support my household and will keep this short just to share this book review with you.  My heart ached as I read the facts. Please read the review and share, share, share. Every animal thanks you.

Book Review: One at a Time: A Week in an American Animal Shelter, by Diane Leigh and Marilee Geyer

I will close with a photo of Ozzbourne getting a tummy rub.  He was adopted from Lied Animal Shelter.

Have a great week!

It’s getting Hot Tail

Posted by admin on June 4th, 2010

Whew…(I’m pulling at my shirt trying to get some ventilation).

It’s getting hot in Las Vegas! Last week we had lovely weather with spring lingering and only being in the 70’s or 80’s.  This week we’ve skipped the introduction of summer and had 90 and 100’s. We haven’t had time to acclimate to the hot weather and are already hating summer. The news is warning us of heat exhaustion.

Did you know that heat exhaustion is the #1 killer of weather events?

I took some pictures a couple of weeks ago of my 1 rose and a orange flower that popped out of nowhere.  This year was really weird. My lavender didn’t bloom and I only got 1 rose. The rose is gone,  I’ve got a mysterious orange flower and a bachelor button flower that I planted a few weeks ago. Wish I had more.

Breeze, Ozzbourne and Harley are laying on the tile through out the house. We’ll be thinking about others and there wonderful weather.

I hope you are having a good summer.

I’m going to go sit in front of a fan with a glass of water.

Have a great weekend.
